About Aetna Medicare Advantage Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans

We have been serving the Medicaid population in Virginia since 1996.

Aetna Better Health® of Virginia (HMO D-SNP), Aetna MedicareSM Assure Premier (HMO D-SNP) and Aetna MedicareSM Assure Value (HMO D-SNP) are subsidiaries of Aetna, which has more than 150 years of experience in meeting members’ health care needs. We believe in delivering care through a collaborative approach. We partner with providers who deliver quality and effective care to achieve the best outcomes for our members. Our programs encourage members to take charge of their health. Through our care management program, members set goals for their health. Our team of care coordinators, providers and caregivers work with the member to help them achieve their goals. This benefit comes at no cost to the member.

We encourage members to give us feedback for improving our health plan. Members can participate in surveys or focus groups. They can e-mail us or serve on our Member Advisory Committee. By engaging our members and providers, we can work toward making the Aetna experience even better.

We received full health plan accreditation by NCQA in March 2015. Accreditation was awarded April 24, 2015 through April 24, 2018.
