Medicaid MMA: Your dental services are covered by the Statewide Medicaid Managed Care (SMMC) program, not by Aetna Better Health®. You can find dental plan contact info on the SMMC website

Florida Healthy Kids: Just call the Florida Healthy Kids Corporation at 1-888-540-KIDS (5437) for details about your dental services.

Vision care

Search for vision providers under "Find a specialty." Choose "optometrist" for vision exams, glasses or contacts. Choose "ophthalmology" for eye diseases or injuries.

We understand that some providers are statewide providers. They are key providers to all managed care plans in Florida. They’re known as essential providers. They include:


  • Faculty plans of Florida medical schools
  • Regional perinatal intensive care centers
  • Hospitals licensed as specialty children’s hospitals
  • Florida cancer hospitals that meet the criteria
  • Accredited and integrated systems serving medically complex children

You have a right to get the care you need when you need it. So we set time frames for how soon your provider should see you. Here’s how long it should take:


  • Urgent care visit – within a day
  • Sick care visit – within one week
  • Routine wellness visit – within one month
