Become a Certified Tobacco Cessation Counselor

Become a certified tobacco cessation counselor
The Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) maintains an online statewide listing of tobacco cessation counseling services. To be listed on the registry, providers are required to apply to DOH and complete Every Smoker, Every Time training program. Providers will receive a Certificate of Completion that must be included with their completed registry application.

How to complete the State-wide Approved Tobacco Cessation Registry
- Complete Every Smoker, Every Time training program. (https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/programs/tobacco/Pages/Registry.aspx) (45 minutes)
- Complete the Pre-Approved Tobacco Cessation Registry Application (1 page)
- Send certificate from Every Smoker, Every Time, and completed registry application to:

Introducing the Dental Quality Practice Liaison Program

Aetna Better Health of PA is pleased to introduce the new Dental Quality Practice Liaison (QPL) Program, developed to improve communication and satisfaction between our dental providers and the health plan. Our Dental Quality Practice Liaisons will be working to help dental practices increase HEDIS and PA Performance Measure rates, decrease gaps in care and discuss specific quality matters. To learn more about this program and to connect with your local Dental QPL, contact the Quality Management Department at AetnaBetterHealthPAQM@aetna.com. Dental QPLs are available to meet with PA dental practices to discuss the program in detail.
