Telehealth services
Teladoc® connects members with licensed doctors in seconds without the hassle of waiting rooms and traveling to appointments. Teladoc lets members video chat with a doctor 24/7, at no extra cost, to treat common issues like the flu, rashes, acne and more. Members can also set up mental health appointments and talk to a therapist. Our goal is to improve:
Access to outpatient specialty care and psychiatric services to prevent hospitalizations and improve diagnostic timing and accuracy
The capacity to choose ongoing outpatient treatment

The Aetna Better Health difference
At Aetna Better Health of Maryland, we have experience that our members can count on. We help them live their healthiest lives and offer a variety of specialty services to take care of them.
Maternity Matters
If our members are expecting a child, our Maternity Matters Program can help them and their child stay healthy during pregnancy and take care of them after their child is born. They can earn gift cards for going to appointments. If members sign up for the Text4baby service, they'll text free tips and reminders to help them have a safe and healthy pregnancy.
Ted E. Bear, M.D.® kids club
We’ll help members pay for an annual Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts membership. Boy Scouts will get a copy of Boys’ Life magazine. Girl Scouts will get The Girl’s Guide to Girl Scouting. Scouts will also get one Journey book or a basic uniform, six months after they join.
It’s OK if they’re not a scout. We’ll pay for an annual membership at their local YMCA instead (up to $60 per year). And if their child has asthma, we can help them get a second inhaler to take to school.
Asthma care
If members have asthma, they can earn a:
- $10 gift card for managing their asthma by having an asthma action plan
- $10 gift card for going to a follow-up appointment with their primary care physician (PCP) after having an asthma attack
- $10 gift card for completing an in-home environmental assessment
